I am very happy to finally be able to circulate the infamous 1997 show from Hamburg, where the band interrupted the show due to beer cups thrown onto the stage. Chris: „Don´t throw your fucking empty beer cans up here man, alright? You´re not in England! I thought we were in Hamburg, you know?“
10 minutes and one beer cup later, the band left the stage. But listen to it all yourselves!
This recording had been hidden in the „fucked up“ section of the taper´s vault, as he had accidentally touched the input volume knob on his recording device during „Could I Have Been So Blind“ and only realized this and corrected it again during „Bring On“. He wasn´t happy with it so he decided not to circulate it. A few years ago I finally convinced him to give his master cassettes to me to transfer them. Turns out that the distortion is slightly audible but not at all making the tape unlistenable. I automated and levelled the volume changes as good as I could in Logic, which worked out fine. Apart from that nothing was done to the recording, no EQ, etc.
